Weddings Trends for 2013

A new year means new and exciting elements to weddings! We love kicking things off with fresh ideas in the new year.  With engagement season in full swinging, we are excited to start incorporating some of these new trends into the 2013 wedding season.

~Colored Wedding Dresses~ 

Over the past months, we have seen Vera Wang’s Spring Collection full of gorgeous red gowns, Jessica Biel walk down the aisle in a pink wedding dress, and Anne Hathaway’s dress white with lovely pink details.

~Organically Chic Wedding Decor~

With Pantone announcing emerald as the color of the year, we see how the organically chic falls right into place.  Couples are using lots of natural decor and then adding pops of color.  Don’t be afraid to add that color for a surprise for your guests.

~Vintage Inspired~

Vintage inspired weddings have been in full swing for quite sometime; however, with The Great Gatsby coming out, we envision lots more of the 1920s.  Expect lots of Art Deco themed items.

~Intricate Cake Designs~

If you thought your wedding cake needed to be simple and standard, think again!  Your cake can be any design you could possibly imagine.  We love that cakes are taking on their own character and are almost too beautiful to eat.

~Mint Color Scheme~

We are all about the mint color scheme.  Mint matches so many different designs and is a great starting palette.  The options are endless with mint and are such a soft color.  It pretty much works for any season.

~Less Matchy Matchy~

If you haven’t noticed yet, we love when everything doesn’t match.  The less matchy matchy brings in a fun element that is often unexpected.  Bridesmaids can choose their own dresses or you can have different centerpieces on every table.
