Museum of Nature and Science Wedding ~ Shandra and George
Museum of Nature and Science Wedding ~ this wedding was one for the books!
Shandra and George are the two most fun loving, genuine and caring people you can meet. She is an oncology doctor and he is the CEO of the Museum. They met volunteering and have had fun with each other every single day since. From the moment we met them, we knew that with their personality and their want to celebrate with their friends would make for an unforgettable wedding.
Their colors were white, silver and black with touches of red. The overall style was elegantly contemporary with incorporating elements that one would see at the Museum: geodes, dinosaurs and artifacts. We had such a blast coming up with design concepts that were uniquely their own.
Guests were pedicabbed from the parking lot to the museum with red fleece blankets to keep cozy. The ceremony took place in the East Atrium of the Museum of Nature and Science with the City Park and the Rocky Mountains as our backdrop. To frame the bride and groom in, a gorgeous drape treatment was hung with fabulous floral tiebacks. Governor Hickenlooper presided over the ceremony. Shandra and George centered the ceremony around family and bringing in Shandra’s children into the vows and ceremony elements.
For the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the 2nd level’s dioramas, full sized assembled animal bones, and a water and geode escort card display that dazzled! Guests were then lead to the South East Atrium with the high ceiling and gorgeous giant pillars. The tables were a mix of shapes that boasted three different specialty linens, mirrored tops and different centerpieces to keep the eye entertained. Shandra learned to play the guitar and sing a very special song to her groom. AMAZING!
Guests were then lead into the new Science Atrium where the couple surprised their guests by learning the TANGO! Hot and spicy and everything else! We adore this couple and wish them every happiness life has to offer. At the end of the evening, guests were given a signed copy of one of their favorite books ‘Exclamation Mark’. What a treat!
