A Modern Mountain Wedding

Chloe and Dave hosted a modern mountain wedding in August of 2019. They shared the beauty of the mountains with their guests at Camp Hale, just outside Vail, CO. These two Denverites went to great lengths to add countless personal touches to their event, like a garnish station for beverages and an oxygen bar to help guests acclimate. A mountain chic affair, this was one of our favorite weddings of 2019 at Cloud 9.

A few special touches at the ceremony site- a cutout of the couple’s dog and “happy tears” tissues for guests.

Florals

Multiple unique floral pieces really helped solidify the theme of this magical mountain affair- modern fairytale.

The bride and her mother collected wildflowers and then dried them. A different arrangement of wildflowers were displayed under each clear charger plate.

A whimsical hanging installation piece made of moss, greenery, and suspended candles was a huge highlight within the reception tent.

As the bride and groom recessed down the aisle, to Chloe’s delight, they were adorned with color galore. “We had been told that we couldn’t do a petal toss after our ceremony because each petal had to be picked up. But as we were walking down the aisle after the big kiss, we were showered with beautiful colored dry flowers. It was my favorite moment of the day. The Cloud 9 team pain-stakingly picked up every flower after, bless their souls.”

DIY Edibles

Chloe and Dave created a few special touches to engage guests at the dinner table. They created beef tallow candles that, as they melted, guests could dip bread into. The couple also made herb-infused olive oil for guests’ dipping delights.

Veil

One of our favorite pieces of wedding attire to date… Chloe had a unique and colorful embroidered veil from Etsy. The veil then doubled as a skirt during dancing.

These two lovebirds made the absolute most of their day. With stunning views in a secluded setting and loads of details, it’s no wonder why this elegant fête will be remembered for years to come.
